Today, Kalyon Energy had the pleasure of hosting the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Mr. Alparslan Bayraktar, and the Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mr. Mehmet Şimşek, at the Kalyon Karapınar Solar Power Plant.
The visit was attended by AK Party Members of Parliament from Konya, Deputy Governor Mustafa Sait Arcaklıoğlu, members of the Konya provincial protocol, and distinguished representatives from the private sector. During the visit, Dr. Murtaza Ata, Board Member and CEO of Kalyon Energy, delivered a comprehensive presentation.
The meeting covered the technical features of Karapınar SPP—one of the world’s largest and Europe’s largest solar power plants—as well as its contributions to the national economy, Türkiye’s renewable energy targets, and the social development and livelihood restoration programs implemented by Kalyon Energy.
Following the presentation, the Ministers and accompanying delegation visited the Karapınar SPP SCADA Center and conducted a site tour to gain firsthand insight into the facility’s operations and technological infrastructure.
